![]() GERARDO BLYDE PÉREZ Geraldo was born in Caracas, more specifically, in a car heading for the clinic on March 23rd 1964. He comes from a middle class family and he studied in the School of Law at Andrés Bello Catholic University. He has worked teaching Constitutional Legislation, has been Deputy to the National Assembly, Chief of the “Primero Justicia” Parliamentary Faction. He his a founding member of the firm “Blyde – Delfino Inc.” Geraldo is a new generation politician who knows the value of the truth. For this reason, he did not hesitate to immediately label as a coup the events that took place on April 11th 2002 or when he stated that the strike was called upon in a wrong moment, that it was prolonged excessively, that it hit economy quite badly and that it eroded the leadership that followed such events. Saying this takes a lot of courage since it may bring over an avalanche of critics upon, given the asymmetrical mosaic that the opposition represents. Blyde’s and his party’s views seems to be very similar to Aznar’s in Spain. Maybe due to the origin and formation of some of Blyde’s party’s leaders and the vision for the country that touches the core of politics and church doctrines. In relation to Irak’s events, Blyde did not vacillate to affirm that he is absolutely against any warfare conflict because “there is not a single problem that could only be solved by means of a war.” “No one could be a world referee as to have other human beings killed despite their government has been proved terrorist and tyrant. A kid in Irak is not to blame for having a leader like Saddam Hussein” Type of Election He is supported by the political party “Primero Justicia” Commissions: Committee for the Study of the Penal Code
